Catch-a-Calf and Heifer
Wrangle
Catch-a-Calf is a Colorado State 4H Council program and Heifer
Wrangle is a Colorado FFA program. Our rural youth through
these programs gain an understanding of the cattle industry;
while learning production skills, showmanship, recordkeeping,

When you give to the Elks National Foundation,
you're doing more than funding the Elks National Drug Awareness
and Hoop Shoot programs, Elks National Veterans Service Commission,
Emergency Educational Grants to the children of deceased or
totally disabled Elks. You're doing more than maintaining

Annual Scholarships for
High School Seniors
The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3 million
in college scholarships each year to graduating high school
seniors. The Most Valuable Student, Eagle Scout, and Girl
Scout Gold Award scholarships are open to any graduating high

| Drug Awareness
Elks Drug Awareness Program has worked to prevent drug use
by our youth through education. The Elks recognize that they
are not experts in the field of drug education. However, we
do have the resources in dollars, facilities and volunteers
to work with the experts to ensure that young people know

Hoop Shoot Program
The Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Program is the
largest and most exciting of the Elks undertakings. However,
the Elks "Hoop Shoot" Free Throw Program will not
work by itself. More than most programs, it requires a substantial
publicity and promotional campaign to be successful. But most
of all, it requires a diligent organizational effort on a

The heart of this program is cooperation with the local
soccer associations, to be an extension of their existing
programs, to add recognition for the dedication they have
provided to the children they support and coach. Winners progress

We are asking every Exalted Ruler and Lodge Americanism
Committee Chairman to follow through with this contest and
let students in your community know the significance of our
American Flag - Old Glory. Contest entries must be submitted

Junior Elks Program called the Antlers. It is a chance for
young people in our communities to get involved with the Elks

Commission
Hundreds of thousands of hours and like numbers
of dollars are devoted to programs that are designed to keep
us true to our pledge: So long as there are veterans in our
hospitals, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will

| The Army of Hope
The Army of Hope was implemented to provide support to the families
of our military reservists and guardsmen who were called up
for active duty during our country's war on terrorism. Although
originally conceived for reservists and guardsmen, there is
nothing that would prevent Lodges from offering support to the
families of servicemen and women serving regular military duty.
